In the world of many sophisticated tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, Tableau/Power BI etc., there is still a place and relevance for Excel as thousands of businesses and organisations around the world still use Excel every day. Knowing how to navigate and use Excel to its full potential will put participants in good stead and lay the foundations to then further expand their skills.

By the end of Part 1, participants will have gained a knowledge of what Excel is and how to navigate the tool. They will have learnt how to format and work with data, cells, worksheets, and workbooks focusing on real life industry examples of what could be expected of them when sorting, cleaning, and organising data. Participants will also learn how to protect their work. Throughout the workshop, participants will be shown keyboard shortcut keys which will enable them to perform tasks more efficiently.

Brigitte currently works as a Technology Trainer for one of Australia’s largest law firms. She also works as a Program and Systems Co-Ordinator for an Indigenous owned training organization focused on upskilling and training under-represented communities in Australia. Brigitte has worked as a technical professional for over 20 years in the areas of programming, database development, software support, systems implementation, data analytics and technology training for a number of global organizations; Nielsen, Unilever and Kimberly-Clark. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge. She is a life long learner and advocates the importance of improving and developing not just technical skills but overall personal development. Currently a driving force at Genpact, Shankar navigates the intricate world of data with finesse, utilizing tools such as SQL, Excel, and Power BI to extract actionable insights and catalyze strategic decision-making. In his ongoing journey, Shankar remains steadfast in his commitment to continuous learning and innovation. Q. Is it free to join?
A. Yes! Participation is free, but slots are limited, so please register early!
Q. Can I join from anywhere in the world?
A. Absolutely! This is a global online event. You can join from any part of the world.
Q. Is it only for women?
A. Just like our regular She Loves Data #MeetUp events, this online webinar is open, to everyone irrespective of gender.
Q. Is this an interactive discussion or just a ‘listen-in’ webinar?
A. Definitely interactive! Your thoughts, feedback and questions are most welcome and will be entertained during the polling and Q&A at the end of the discussion.
Q. Is this a program certified?
A. Yes, this is a certified program. You have to complete assessments for both Part 1 and part 2 and your score must be at least 70%. After succesfull completion you’ll receive digital certificate and badge.
Q. What if something comes up and I need to retract my registration?
A. If you can’t join the online meetup, let us know at least a day before, and we’ll be able to offer your spot to someone else on the waitlist. Please email us at Signature_programs@shelovesdata.com, and we’ll help.
