During this 2-hour session, we will go into detail about what NoSQL is, where it came from, and why it is THE choice today for distributed cloud systems. We will introduce you to Tabular, Document, Key Value, and Graph Databases before you get hands-on with your own NoSQL database using AstraDB – a cloud-native database as a service and the easiest way to get started on your professional NoSQL journey – no installation required.

- Overview of stateful applications and Relational Databases
- Introduction to NoSQL databases, and how they differ from Relational Databases
- Overview of Tabular, Document, Column Oriented, Key Values Oriented, and Graph Databases
- Set up your own NoSQL database using AstraDB – no installation required
- Execute your first set of CRUD operations – create, read, update & delete

In 2013 he created the open source feature toggle library called FF4J which he has been actively maintaining. With 15 years in the industry as a tech lead, solution architect, or presales he can discuss a wide range of technologies and architectures.
