Session 1 – Kickstart your career in data

Leaders: Tess Guthrie and Sue Visic

The advent of new technologies is opening up exciting opportunities for data-based roles, and it’s fast becoming one of the most in-demand jobs today. So is a career in data right for you? Our data experts will unpack their best career advice and wisdom to help you grow your career in data, including what to consider when making a career choice, the must-have soft and technical skills, tips for a successful interview, the role of data in social impact work, and lots more.

Session 2 – Make the switch to a career in data

Leaders: Ada Leung & Dave Colls

Are you seeking a career change or looking to return to work? Then this session is for you. Our Thoughtworks speakers will share their personal experiences and tips on how to successfully embark on a new career in data and share their advice on ways to transition back to work after a career break or parental leave. They’ll also tackle some tricky questions along the way (is age really an impediment to moving into tech?).

Ever wondered what it’s like to work at Thoughtworks? Step inside the shoes of a Thoughtworks data consultant as we take you through the day in the life of our speakers.
