She Loves Data Terms and Conditions

She Loves Data is a registered company limited by guarantee with its registered address at 30 CECIL STREET #19-08 PRUDENTIAL TOWER SINGAPORE (049712)(“She Loves Data”), operating as a non-profitable social enterprise that organizes events and workshops helping women become data-literate and active contributors to an increasingly data-driven world, as well as provide mentorship, soft skills development and networking opportunities. .

These are the Terms and Conditions that apply to the events organized or coordinated by She Loves Data either solely or jointly with its event partners (hereafter “Events”). By applying for registration to participate in any of the Events you agree that these Terms and Conditions apply to you in respect of such application and your participation in the Event. Should you not wish to accept these Terms and Conditions you should not register.

1. Events

She Loves Data Events include, especially, workshops, course, meetups, panel talks, hackathons and networking events.

She Loves Data determines at its sole discretion the location, timing, format, purpose, and all other aspects of the Event. She Loves Data may change any aspect of the Event, without limitation, where it considers it is reasonably necessary to do so.

2. Participation Criteria And Attendance

She Loves Data may specify participation criteria for the Events.

“Criteria” means the criteria set out in the Event description. Before you apply for the Event registration, check the description of the Event on the website to find out if there are any participation criteria and, if yes, whether you meet them or not.

All registrations for participation in the Events are subject to availability of seats. Any availability information is subject to change without notice.

If you registered for the Event, but for whatever reason cannot attend it, you must cancel your registration by contacting She Loves Data in a way indicated in the Event description.

She Loves Data herewith retains the right to refuse your application by giving you a notice in the following cases:
– full capacity of the Event,
– multiple failures to attend the Events you registered for without prior cancellation of your registration,
– other situations where She Loves Data may find it appropriate to refuse your application.

She Loves Data retains the right to refuse your attendance on the day of the Event in case of your late arrival to the Event.

3. Event Conduct And Behavior

She Loves Data is committed to providing a productive and welcoming environment to all participants of the Events. She Loves Data likes to create respectful and judgment-free spaces, where everyone is heard.

She Loves Data has no tolerance for discrimination, harassment, or bullying in any form at the Events. Participants are expected to adhere to these principles and respect the rights of others.

4. Participation Fee

Participation at the Events is free of charge, but registration is compulsory.

She Loves Data reserves the right to charge a participation fee to cover expenses incurred in connection with the conduct of the Event. In such case the relevant note will be included in the Event description.

5. Privacy

She Loves Data is committed to data privacy and protecting your personal information. Information on how She Loves Data collects, processes, and uses your data is included in the Privacy Policy which is hereby incorporated into these Terms and Conditions.

She Loves Data may collect and use personal information you provide throughout the process of registration for any Event for the purpose of facilitating your participation in that Event, and for event management. This information includes your name and email address (a valid email address is required for all registrations) and any details required for registration for any Event.

By applying to participate in any Event, you agree that She Loves Data may send you event-related information, including, without limitation, changes and/or additions to that Event. Additionally, you give your consent for She Loves Data to contact you in future by way of electronic messages in relation to other activities organized by She Loves Data or third parties. You can unsubscribe from these messages by using the “Unsubscribe” function on the message.

She Loves Data may share your personal information with event partners and/or third parties engaged by She Loves Data(for instance companies and other persons who provide us with venues and facilities for organizing Events, software and data necessary for these Events or other services and to our photographers) to assist in the conduct of the Event solely for the purpose of facilitating your participation in the Event for the reasons provided and only for the time necessary. She Loves Data will not disclose your personal information to any other third party without your consent except where required to do so by law.

6. Confidentiality

She Loves Data may provide you with confidential information during the Event, including information relating to other Event participants. Such information must only be used by you for the purposes of the Event and must otherwise be kept confidential by you.

Such confidential information must not be provided to any third party without the prior consent of She Loves Data and any other Event participants whose confidential information is to be disclosed.

Additionally, for the purpose of the Events She Loves Data may provide you with confidential information related to event partners of She Loves Data or their products and services. In those cases your participation in the Event may be subject to signing of a separate non-disclosure agreement by you.

She Loves Data and event partners of She Loves Data create presentations, instructions, guides, other training documents, materials and content for the Events. These documents, materials and content are provided to you strictly for your personal use. You are not allowed to publish, display or distribute any part of these documents, materials and content, sell or offer them for sale, use them in any other way not expressly authorized herein.

7. Usage Of Photographic And Video Material Taken At Events

Photographs and/or video may be taken at any Event. By taking part in the Event you grant She Loves Data full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for publicity and/or promotional purposes. This may include, without limitation, the right to use them in printed and online publicity materials, social media, and press releases.

By attending the Event, you acknowledge and agree as follows:

(a) She Loves Data may edit and use footage it captures at the Event for promotional activities and for any other lawful purpose in the ordinary course of its operation; and

(b) due to the prevalence of mobile recording devices in today’s world, She Loves Data disclaims all liability for the capture of your image in any multimedia format by other attendees at the Event.

8. Exclusion Of Liability

She Loves Data will not be responsible or liable in any way for any claims, injuries, damages, losses, expenses, costs or liabilities which may happen during the Event or result from your use of any training documents, materials and content provided to you in connection with the Event.

If you bring children to the Event, you take full responsibility for them unless anything else is announced by She Loves Data in respect of the Event.

From time to time event partners of She Loves Data may provide, on their own initiative, catering for Events. She Loves Data does not provide catering for the Events and therefore is not obliged to meet any dietary preferences. She Loves Data will not be responsible for any allergic reactions, injury, illness, death or losses (e.g. loss of enjoyment) arising from consumption of food served at the Events.

9. Cancellation By She Loves Data

She Loves Data may, at its sole discretion, cancel any Event at any time for any reason by notice in writing.

In case participation fee was charged for the Event that was cancelled by She Loves Data, a full refund of the fee paid will be made.

10. Breach Of Terms And Conditions

In case you breach these Terms and Conditions in whole or in part, She Loves Data retains the right to prohibit your admission to any of She Loves Data ́s Events.

11. Third-Party Events

It must be noted that She Loves Data may publish on its website the information about events organized and coordinated by third parties and, therefore, covered not with these Terms and Conditions, but with terms and conditions set up by those third parties. In order to find out if an event is organized by a third party, check the list of organizers in the description.

12. Miscellaneous

She Loves Data reserves the right to change, amend, add or remove any of the above Terms and Conditions in its sole discretion and without prior notice. If one or more of the conditions outlined in these Terms and Conditions should become invalid, the remaining conditions will continue to be valid and apply.
