She has a Master of Education degree in International Education Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a background in social science and education research. She is passionate about developing and evaluating educational programs that target learners in challenging contexts, and utilizing statistics and data to extract meaningful insights on the field.

An avid data and diversity advocate, Jana is Co-founder and CEO at Meiro, a Customer Data Platform company. Jana has 20+ years of experience in business and digital intelligence, data warehousing and data mining, marketing, risk and fraud management. She holds degrees in Computer Science and Systems Architecture from universities in Sweden and the USA. Jana also headed country operations at Estee Lauder, Sybase, SAS and Socialbakers. A Czech native and Swedish citizen, Jana has been living in Singapore since 2011. In 2015 she started the data consultancy DataDriven Co, and thereafter, the MarTech start-up Meiro. In 2016, Jana co-founded the non-profit movement She Loves Data. Since then over 7,000 women have attended 100+ free data & tech workshops in Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Nigeria, and the USA. She Loves Data was awarded “Best Diversity Initiative 2019” by Women in IT Asia. From 2003-2006 Jana circumnavigated the world on a 38-foot sailboat.

After graduating from University of Economics in Prague and CEMS Master of International Management, Michaela started her career at International Corporate Desk at KBC Group and then several years in Credits, managing the team of 300 in the whole SME Credit line by the time she turned 30. After a short leave for a maternity “project”:-), she switched to SME business side, followed by a CFO/CRO role at Hypoteční banka. In her latest job she focuses on running the Daily Banking of one of the biggest Czech banks, along with the role of its Chief Innovation Officer, responsible for transforming the current business model and new digital services introduction.
